Ragtime is by the award-winning team of Ahrens & Flaherty will be making its debut on the Dixon Hall stage. Ragtime tells the story of America at the turn of the Twentieth Century and follows the lives of Mother, the matriarch of middle class family, Coalhouse Walker Jr., an African-American musician, and Tateh, a Jewish immigrant.
The cast w star Broadway veteran Leslie Castay as Mother and Kevin Murphy as Tateh. The cast will also feature such NOLA favorites as Keith Claverie (Henry Ford), Leslie Claverie (Emma Goldman), A.J. Allegra (Harry Houdini), Maggie Windler (Evelyn Nesbitt) and Bryce Slocumb (Younger Brother). Ragtime will be directed by Michael E. McKelvey, choreographed by Polanco Jones Jr. and Jaune Buisson, and music directed by Jefferson Turner.
