A Hurricane Harvey Relief Benefit for the Houston Theatre Community
Monday, October 23rd at 7:30pm at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, 616 St. Peter St. (in the French Quarter).
Hurricane Harvey has created a huge amount of devastation to Greater Houston, which includes the numerous theatrical organizations in that area. Because Houston was a sister city and refuge for many theatre artists of NOLA during Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans Theatre Network is hosting a very special benefit concert to support our fellow artists in “H Town”. Funds raised from the event will go to support theatres and theatre artists in the Houston theatre community.
“Footlights for Houston” will be hosted by Kimberly Clark (aka Chris Giarmo) and will feature performances by NOLA favorites Bryan Batt, Leslie Castay, Sunni Patterson and Jose Torres-Tama, as well as numerous theatre companies including Flying Circus Space, JPAS (Chicago), Le Petit Theatre (Once On This Island & The Last Five Years), Lady Beast Productions, The Company (Saturday Night Fever), The NOLA Project & UNO Theatre (Urinetown), Rivertown Theatres (Junie B & The Little Mermaid), See ‘Em On Stage (Titus Andronicus), Dancing Grounds’ Elite Feet Dancing Krewe, BB’s Stage Door Canteen (On the Road with Bob Hope & Friends), Southern Rep Theatre (Fun Home), Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane (Hairspray).
