A Benefit for the Houston Theatre Community
On Monday, October 23rd, the New Orleans Theater Network presented “Footlights for Houston” at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre. “Footlights” was a benefit to help our fellow performing artists and companies in the Houston area.
The show was hosted by Kimberly Clark (aka Chris Giarmo) and featured performances by NOLA favorites Bryan Batt, Leslie Castay, Sunni Patterson and Jose Torres-Tama, as well as numerous theatre companies including Flying Circus Space, JPAS (Chicago), Le Petit Theatre (Once On This Island & The Last Five Years), Lady Beast Productions, The Company (Saturday Night Fever), The NOLA Project & UNO Theatre (Urinetown), Rivertown Theatres (Junie B & The Little Mermaid), See ‘Em On Stage (Titus Andronicus), Dancing Grounds’ Elite Feet Dancing Krewe, BB’s Stage Door Canteen (On the Road with Bob Hope & Friends), Southern Rep Theatre (Fun Home), Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane (Hairspray).
The Benefit today has brought in donations totaling over $10,000.
